According to Forbes, there are currently 33.2 million small businesses in the U.S. alone. For over 50 years, the Small Business Administration (SBA) has celebrated these small businesses during National Small Business Week, which recognizes the hard work, ingenuity and dedication of America’s small businesses, while also celebrating their contributions to the economy.

Halfacre Construction Company, a commercial construction company located in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., is proud to support a number of small businesses in Florida, including Orlando-based 3D Strategic Management.

3D Strategic Management was created to strategically assist individuals in each stage of entrepreneurship. Their team holds years of specialized expertise to offer customized services and solutions, and they strategically develop comprehensive business development training programs for their clients. Halfacre Construction is proud to be one of the contract sourcing partners that 3D Strategic Management uses to help their construction related clients get contracts.

On May 1, 3D Strategic Management, the Florida arm of the Department of Commerce’s Small Business Development Agency, hosted a kickoff open house event for Small Business Week. Over 50 guests and partners, including Eric Graham, director of community and business diversity for Halfacre Construction, joined 3D Strategic Management’s Business Incubator to gain insight and listen to feedback regarding making small businesses suited for growth and profit.

“The Business Incubator at 3D Strategic Management provides business coaching, contract sourcing assistance, office space and certification assistance,” said Eric. “These are all key ingredients to grow any business, but it can be extremely difficult if you are a new or small business.”

In addition to working with local small businesses, Halfacre Construction also takes great pride in serving the community through giving, fundraising, donating building projects and serving on nonprofit and organizational advisory boards. The company has been fortunate to have enjoyed a measure of success since its inception and the company philosophy is that success demands responsibility to help others and give back to the community.

“We are proud to support small businesses as they truly are the backbone and glue of our communities,” said Jack Cox, president of Halfacre Construction Company. “It is an honor to lend our expertise to 3D Strategic Management clients in order to assist them in getting contracts.”
